The object for which the charity is established is to relieve the distress and suffering experienced by women and their children who have been abused, physically, emotionally, physiologically and sexually, by a spouse, partner, parent, child, sibling or co-habitee.
in furtherance of the above object but not otherwise, the charity may provide centres where women and their children can enjoy rest and protection from attack and persecution.
to provide outreach support for men, women and their children who have been abused, physically, emotionally, physiologically and sexually, by a spouse, partner, parent, child, sibling or co-habitee. Allowing them to remain in their existing accommodation where possible and appropriate.
to do all other such
provide access to any necessary medical care, advise, counselling and legal advice for such people and their children.
assist with the co-operation of both statutory and voluntary bodies in the permanent re housing of such women and their children and to assist where necessary in obtaining proper education for the children of such women.
to conduct research into the cause of and ways of preventing or relieving the suffering caused by such grave or persistent maltreatment and to publish facts found by such means as may be proper in order to educate the public.
to enlist the support of the public by disseminating information about the problems of maltreated women (and men) and their children.
to enlist the services of voluntary helpers interested in the objects of the charity.
to do all other such things as are necessary for the attainment of the above objects.
