Pragna Mandir' is one of four Schools managed by Manav Kalyan Trust and is nestled in the Sahaydri Hills at Shivarimal ,Dang District of Gujarat . the school accommodates nearly 200 residential students. who have a visual impairment or Physical disabilty . The school provide Primary, Secondary and higher secondary education using modernised teaching methods and innovative learning approaches . The school embraces new technology and has Digital classrooms, Computer Lab and the newest Braille learning facilities . The Schools follow the regular mainstream standard administered and inspected by the Gujarat State Boards .

They have dedicated staff that ensure that each and every pupil is treated with respect and encouraged to achieve beyond their own perceived potential.

Dang District is Tribal and extremely poor . Due to poor diet many children are born with either no vision or partial vision . The Trust pays for all the pupils needs- food lodging uniforms medical and pastoral support as well as a fine education. The Trust receives little funds from the Government and therefore relies on donations from across the world. Mamta Welfare Trust is the Collaborator Trust for the UK Our main remit is to manage donations received from UK residents, to raise our own funds and also encourage and support volunteers from the UK and beyond to work at the Schools. We are a Charity (RCN 1100190) and all the Trustees are volunteers. Expenses for the year are on average less than 1% meaning that the Schools receives over 99% of all money raised .
