Description:
Voyage is a Social Justice Charity, driven by a network of experienced youth leaders and creative educators. We empower underrepresented young people from the global majority, igniting and inspiring them to tackle the issues they care most about. Voyage was established by the Black Police Association in response to the Macpherson Report into the murder of Stephen Lawrence.
Voyage’s objects are for the public benefit, the advancement of:
- education through youth leadership workshops, courses and programmes.
- citizenship and community development, including to foster greater trust towards and confidence in private and public institutions, such as the Police; and
- racial harmony, equality and diversity,
amongst and for young people in the United Kingdom, in particular those who are black or who are from an ethnic minority group including, without limitation, through the provision of education, vocational training, mentoring and other support.
Voyage stands for Voice of Youth and Genuine Empowerment.
