Neil does the Spinal Challenge 2019

Event date:

Andrew Keen is raising money for Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England

My story

I am 52yrs old and have been a member of Buxton Mountain Rescue Team for 4 years.
I heard about the Montane Spine Challenger Race a couple of years ago. It's 108 miles to be completed in 60 hours.
I attempted the race last year but failed to complete the it.
This year i have better, and lighter kit. My body is about a stone lighter and the added drive of raising money for Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England.
Why search & rescue dogs?

I really think people don't realise how much time, training, and dedication a search dog dog handler give to enable them to find a missing person. If I can raise the profile of the charity and a little cash, great.
Technology comes and goes but Mountain Rescue will always need (with the proven track record of) search dog handlers and their gorgeous dogs.
Neil Stephenson.
