My story
I’m running the London Marathon 2026 for Lord’s Taverners.
I only started running in May 2025, so this will be my first ever marathon. A year ago I wouldn’t have believed you if you told me I’d be doing this.
After turning 40, I decided it was time for a proper challenge. The London Marathon has always been a bucket list event, and now I’m taking it on while supporting a charity doing life-changing work.
Lord’s Taverners helps young people facing disability and disadvantage experience sport and recreation giving them opportunities, confidence, and support they might not otherwise have. It’s an incredible cause and one I’m proud to run for.
Training has been tough, the miles are adding up, and race day will definitely push me, but hugely excited for the challenge.
