Manchester & London Marathons for Humber Rescue

Hi, Thanks for visiting my fund raising page. I have invested a lot of time and effort into training to run the Manchester marathon, followed 14 days later by the London Marathon. Whilst this has been a personal challenge it would seem a waste not to use the opportunity to raise money for charity.

I have a lot of respect for people who put them selves at risk to protect and save the lives of others, which is why i have chosen to support Humber Rescue. Any donations will be greatly appreciated, and thank you for backing me in my challenge.

Humber Rescue are an independent charity who have in 2015 marked their 25th year in supplying fast response search and rescue operations on the Humber Estuary. We cover approximately 540 square miles of water including the River Hull, the Trent, the Ouse and the River Humber.

The River Humber has proven to be one of the most unpredictable stretches of water in the world. Even the most experienced of navigators can get caught out by the shifting sandbanks and the strong currents.
