The worthy cause is Purple Field Productions (‘PFP’) 🎥. PFP is a small UK-registered charity working with local people and filmmakers in Africa and Asia to produce and distribute local language educational films on issues that are important to them. Every PFP film seeks to bring about positive change by engaging audiences with themes, characters and subjects that address important challenges facing themselves and their communities.

PFP's films and other media have covered a wide range of subjects, including: health, disability and rights; social prejudice and stigma; agriculture; and environment and conservation. Recent and ongoing work covers gender-based violence and safe motherhood in Sierra Leone, albinism, blindness and the effect of COVID-19 on schoolgirls in Malawi, and cerebral palsy and disability in East Africa, while a number of training programmes are ongoing.
