9k for the doggos

In Greece, when I lived there I saw the life of street dogs: we used to hang out with and give love to a pack of strays in Orei. One day we found a tiny white puppy, we raised money, called him Spud, and found him a loving home with my friend Tori in Edinburgh. 

I think about the other dog Lipstick, who I adored as is still there. I often wonder if he’s alive. The life out there was brutal. Locals would put cyanide in dog bowls of water. Throw coffee on the dogs who came to cafes and restaurants looking for food, and my partner even had to take a dog to be put to sleep after it was hit by a car. 

Kill shelters are packed, and organisations like Fetcher Dog do huge work saving these little ones from horrendous conditions and early deaths. 

I’ll walk 9k over the weekend at the beginning of August to raise money for them and pea will be with me every step of the way.
