Triathlon for All Ears Cambodia

I will be doing some voluntary work for All Ears Cambodia in November 2010, and I'm hoping you can help me to raise some money for this worthy cause.

All Ears Cambodia is a really unique charity carrying out an extremely important role in a recently war-torn country.

During the genocidal regime of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia, over 90% of doctors were executed, died or left the country. Now, two million Khmers suffer from deafness, largely due to exploding land mines, and half of them are children.

The All Ears Clinic in Phnom Penh is open every weekday and provides healthcare and audiology services, which includes the fitting of hearing aids for anyone in need of help. All Ears also works in hospitals and special clinics and through its Outreach programme. Through its Education Programme it provides training for student clinicians and a range of educational materials for the general public.

I will be participating in a team in the Roseland Triathlon in Cornwall to raise money for All Ears, through Medical and Scientific Aid for Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia (MSAVLC).

Anyone who knows me will know that me and exercise have never got on well.... and the prospect of doing a triathlon, even in a team, is not something I'm particularly looking forward to, but it is all for a very good cause, so please give generously!!
