My story
What's the cycle challenge of the beast? 🤘
Cycling over 666km, 3 big rides and some not so big rides over 20 days...
It starts on Sunday 29th May with the 100-mile, Ride London Essex. The next challenge A 100+ mile ride, following the Heavy Metal Truants route to Donington and the hallowed ground of Download, the festival formally known as Monsters of Rock. Some small rides, then (drum roll) finishing 17th June with the Vätternrundan, a 315km (200 mile), an overnight cycle round the 2nd largest lake in Sweden.
Why am I doing this?
I’m taking this on as a virtual challenge for The Heavy Metal Truants. Its their 10th anniversary raising funds for their charity partners (Teenage Cancer Trust, Childline, Save the Children and Nordoff Robbins) making a big difference in the lives of young people.
I'm also raising funds for Boxing Futures who work to improve the physical and mental health and wellbeing of disadvantaged young people.
