Alafia's 1st triathlon

I'm writing this on 14/06/14. At this point I can only swim 100m. However in less than three weeks, I will risk my life and shall attempt my first ever triathlon - The Banana Split. It is the shortest distance on offer with a 200 metre swim, 5.3 kilometre bike and 2.5 kilometre run which means it?s perfect for children (LOL children will definitely beat me), beginners or anyone who wants to blast round the course in the quickest time possible (my aim though: to finish the race).

Why will I do this? To support a local charity based in East London that takes primary school children, who wouldn't otherwise get a holiday, away on a camping trip once a year during the summer holidays. It's an awesome experience for the children and all the staff who volunteer, put their hearts and souls into CHAOS all year round to make this event happen! So please dig deep into your hearts and your pockets to support them! They all do such and amazing job for these children!
