Alison Giblin is raising money for Fast Aid
My story
This will be my first half marathon & many people have asked me if I am going to raise money for a charity so after much thought & discussions with a few people I decided to raise money for FastAid .
FastAid is a group of volunteers that respond to life threatening 999 calls arriving before Ambulance Crewes and provide defibrilation and other life saving care as well as promoting recovery.They are trained by West Midlands Ambulance Service but are equipped completely by donations.
I was resucitated 3 years ago not by FastAid but know how important this service is as we never know if we will ever have to call on them.
I am not going to find running the Half Marathon easy but knowing that I am rasing money for a worthwhile cause will make it a little easier(I hope) !!!
