Allison Gardner is raising money for Home-Start Newcastle Borough
My story
Hi, I am raising funds for my local Home Start In Newcastle Under Lyme. I will be taking part in TrekFrest 2016 and will be completing the 50 km Peak District challenge, including topping Kinder Scout.
Home Start is an amazing charity that helps children under 5 and their parents when they are experiencing difficulties and need support. When I had my first baby and I was living in difficult circumstances (on benefits and had post-natal depression) I wish I had the support of a Home Start volunteer to help me through. I am now honoured to be a trustee of this charity and am determined that other families get the help they need.
So please help me raise funds for Home Start so that other familes do not feel isolated and have the support they need to provide a happy, secure home for their children.
