Anna is running the HD5K with AHMM

I’m running the HD5K with the AHMM team to raise money for the Alan Davidson Foundation, which helps fund research into motor neurone disease (MND, also known as ALS) and supports the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
AHMM has supported the HD5K for a few years now, but unfortunately this year the race has a more personal resonance for me, as my dad is now living with MND – following diagnosis around six months ago, his illness has advanced very quickly and aggressively.
While the search for a cure or any effective treatment for MND continues, the MND Association provides practical, financial and emotional support, funds equipment and communication tools, and produces incredibly useful guidance for people with MND and their carers and families. These things make all the difference when you’re adjusting to what the future will hold, however long that is, and managing the everyday impacts of the disease as it progresses.
