Archie's Angels 10km Obstacle Run

Event date: 12th October 2013

Scott Pownall is raising money for ASH LEA SCHOOL FUND

My story

Hello, my name is Archie, I am 7 years old and I have a condition called Angelman Syndrome. I go to a fantastic school called Ash Lea, which has amazing teachers and support workers. There are many other children like me that attend Ash Lea school with a range of physical and learning needs.
Because of how fantastic my school is, I want to help raise some money to enable my school to buy some new trikes, bikes and scooters for the outdoor playground in our primary section.
So my dad Scott came up with the idea of doing the Men's Health Survival of the fittest challenge, he has also persuaded a few of his mates to do the challenge with him which involves a 10km and 10 obstacle run. The challengers are: Cary Wright, Matt Cleaver, Adam Dobney, Neil Breward, Mick Phillipson, Steve Odonnell and my dad Scott Pownall. The team name is ' Archie's Angels'.
All these men will need lots of encouragement and support as they are all at the wrong end of 30 or in their early 40's and may find this a mammoth challenge to complete, so please show your support and give what you can and also please be very gentle with them afterwards!.
Every donation will be gratefully received, no matter how small, so please give what you can and remember to tick the Gift Aid box if you are a British tax payer, this enables the school charity to claim an extra 25% of your donation from the government.
If you would also like to learn more about Angelman Syndrome to help raise awareness about this condition, please browse the following link: angelmanuk.org/ or just type Angelman Syndrome into your search engine.

Thank you so much for all your support and GOOD LUCK to team Archie's Angels!!!
