Auras Dogs UK Easter Auction and Raffle appeal

Hello,
I am volunteering my time to support Auras Dogs UK with fundraising, by planning to runn a raffle and auction in April. The theme will be “celebrating the bond between dogs/ cats and owners while contributing to animal welfare”. So the function appeal will all be about the dogs dogs and more dogs for our many pups, goodies for their guardian angels and supporters and wonder if you would kindly donate something to the fundraiser (big or small items, or a gift voucher). 

The focus for this fundraiser, is to continue help supporting Auras care of the sanctuary dogs, who’s care will remain provided by Auras dogs UK and remain in kennels, as they can’t be rehomed for many reasons including the dogs welfare and public safety. 

Auras Dogs UK, are a small charity who make a big impact who do their rescue work full on a voluntary basis and with support from many local volunteers and raising funds is such an important part to help them do, what they do.

The charity rely upon Volunteers on all levels, fully caring for sanctuary dogs which includes promoting all aspects of their welfare including physical but also emotional wellbeing, enrichment and on-going training.  

Our volunteers also include many foster carers dedicating their homes and time to rescues, some fosters carers require financial support to offer placements to dogs and this is an area we support because usually these are experienced, reliable foster carers who can make such a big difference to rehabilitation and increasing chances of rehoming. 

 Sadly we don’t always manage to find foster carers or homes for all dogs, so some remain in kennels being cared for by staff and for some pups it’s tough, especially those being surrendered and used to living in a home with a family. So for these pups when we rely upon volunteers to take them out or walk them can be unreliable and  short supply during holidays seasons or if the weather, they need more enrichment on site which can be challenging, or the tough job of paying for dog walking which takes essential money away from other more urgent needs the dogs may come with such as medical treatment or behavioural support.

Auras Dogs UK's mission, is to promote humane behaviour towards dogsboth in the UK.
Year after year, Auras Dogs UK work tirelessly to meet their objectives through several key activities:

• Providing safe shelter and security for dogs in need due to mistreatment, abandonment, poor circumstances, or ill usage.
• Advancing animal welfare by offering necessary veterinary treatment, rehabilitation, and training to dogs in their care.
• Supporting the control of feral dogs through regular financial contributions to neutering campaigns.
• Actively seeking homes for rescued animals and providing training support to adopters to advance public understanding of dog welfare.

The organisation works to rescue and rehome abandoned and abused dogs, primarily operating in the South West of England while also supporting international rescue efforts. They utilise a foster-based system to assess dogs' behavioural needs and prepare them for their forever homes.

Auras Dogs UK receive no governmental grants or business funding sources and with hard work 24/7 with support of volunteers they make every £1 go as far as x4 (or more compared to bigger national charities) which makes them a good option to invest in.

We would love to have you on board to help is rescue more dogs and cats in need of safety and those that have already been rescued needing time and support for rehabilitation and those lucky adoptees leaving for their furever homes.
