Little Trooper marathon

Hi Everyone,

On Saturday 22nd June 2024, we're running a Cross Country Marathon in Sponsorship of Little Troopers. A charity which helps military children from all three military services, British Army, RAF, Royal Navy.

We've chosen Little Troopers because even though we have many charities which help past and currently serving soldiers, sometimes our loved ones need support as well.

When we deploy and spend time away from home, the parenting and home making is left to those left behind, which can sometimes feel like being a single parent. They support us with our commitments to the military and put their own life on hold while waiting for us to come home. Sometimes young children don't fully understand why Mum or Dad don't come home some nights and this can be hard, but they soldier on as Little Troopers.

I truly believe if it wasn't for our loved ones waiting for us back home, most of us wouldn't be here today, regardless of all the Soldiers charities out there. Sometimes after a long day we just want to go home and watch cartoons with our Little Troopers. As soldiers we get lots of help and support but it isn't just about us. We have to help those who love and support us when we go home after soldiering. Even our little Troopers who don't even realise how much they help us get through everything.

This is why we choose Little Troopers for our Troopers back home.
