Bannerman House is raising money for Starter Packs Glasgow (Scotland)
My story
Starter Packs is a Glasgow charity that provides essential items for people who are going into social housing for the first time and have no other way of purchasing these every-day items.
The charity receive referrals from housing associations when they identify someone requiring their help.
They then create a pack based on their household size and deliver it to them at a convenient time.
A van that is in good working order is essential to their work - without it they cannot deliver the packs to the people who need them. Currently, their van is old and in poor repair, and this fundraising week is to help the charity to purchase a new van and continue their outstanding work!
