Bettys Stonegate supports Dementia Forward

Dementia forwards mission is to deliver a range of services to support and promote 'living well with dementia' to our local communities throughout North Yorkshire. They understand how dementia affects those living with it, and their families, and the need to knit that support into the everyday lives of the local community.
Dementia is not a single condition and there are many different causes which affect people of all ages and backgrounds. It is an umbrella term used to describe the symptoms of over 100 conditions which affect memory, behaviors and thinking. It is estimated that 10,000 people are living with dementia across North Yorkshire but only 5800 of these have been diagnosed.
Dementia Forward helps people to choose and access the types of support and services that best suit their needs. It helps people stay connected to their local community and and to make informed decisions about their treatment, care and well-being.
