Blue Dragon Kickathon 2024

The Blue Dragon Kickathon is back for 2024!

We are raising money again for the Neonatal Unit at Leighton Hospital as we raised such an amazing amount last year, this year we want to smash our goal 🎉

As many of you may know, in 2022, Mr & Mrs Fearon (1st Degree and 5th Degree respectively at BDTKD Cuddington) welcomed their little boy Leo in to the world. Unfortunately, Leo was quite poorly when he was born and was taken to the Neonatal Unit at Leighton Hospital when he was 2 hours old and remained under their fantastic care for 11 days.

Without a shadow of doubt, the hard work of the nurses saved Leo and helped him recover 100%, so we decided to bring back the kickathon in 2023 to raise money for the unit and it was a huge success, we raised over £1600 in the end! The money has gone towards supporting parents through their NICU journey and buying necessary equipment for poorly babies.

The idea of the kickathon is to do as many kicks as possible across 15 minutes - 5 minutes front kicks, 5 minutes side kicks and 5 minutes turning kicks. It is a massive challenge for everyone that takes part and is not easy in the slightest.
