Natalina, Damon, Alice & Mark (Bodyshock Buddies) L2B 100KM Challenge
Event date: 28th May 2016
Damon Pinder is raising money for Assert (B&H)
My story
Natalina Bonassera aged 31, Damon Pinder aged 51, Alice Forte aged 38 and Mark Ling aged 47 are all training buddies through Bodyshock Fitness Uk. They have decided to take on this massive London to Brighton 100k (62 miles) challenge which they plan to run and walk starting early on Saturday 28th May. This will mean they will be running/walking throughout the night too. Damon, Natalina or Alice have never taken on a challenge of this length and type before. All four of them are really looking forward to this Challenge.
Being aware just how challenging Asperger Syndrome or High Functioning Autism can be and of some of the difficulties these lifelong, often hidden conditions can cause this Team of Bodyshock Buddies have decided they would like to raise funds to help with support for adults with these conditions.
They will be raising funds for ASSERT (B&H) who support adults in and around Brighton and Hove with Asperger Syndrome or High Functioning Autism. Charity Number 1099257. Damon is aware just what a great invaluable service Assert provide to those with AS or HFA and their families.
The Team would like to raise as much as possible for Assert and by signing up for this challenge have pledged to raise a minimum of £395 each in sponsorship.
Please could you help them reach their target which if at all possible they would like to have done by the middle of April so that their place in this event is secure.
So far the team have been hard in training taking on a 30 mile walk and another 24 mile walk setting out at 4 a.m. one Sunday morning. They are also arranging other events for friends and family to help with raising sponsorship.
Up-date - Buddy Boppers Party 12.3.16 - We have now added another £235 to the fundraising -
Massive thanks to those who had already donated on this page and joined the Team for a knees up on Saturday night - everyone had a great time with minimal expenses for such a great night. (TOTAL £235) x Thank you from the Team x
On the 30th May whilst Alice and Mark undertook a 40+ mile training session a super group of Bodyshock Fitness Team took part in a Bootcamp held by the Bodyshock Boss man James Boardman on the firehills and made donations totalling £100 to support this great cause - thank you from the Team for helping us to get closer to our target - to James Boardman, Scott Gilchrist, Rob Phipps, Richard and Sarah Swatton, Sonia Appleton, Suzannah Martin, Jamie Turner, Dave Turner, Natalina Bonassera, Paul Worman and Laura Colvin x
