My story

I am taking on the challenge to cycle from Mizen Head, the most southerly tip of Ireland up to its most northerly point Malin Head. This is a journey of over 600 miles taking in much of the picturesque Wild Atlantic Way.
It is no easy task  with cycling in excess of 100 miles per day.
I am doing it with a great bunch of people, over 60 of us and a wonderful back up crew who are all doing this voluntarily.
BICA have supported many worthwhile causes including Abbie Bennett, check this out:-

Maeve Fanning - when faced with this challenge my challenge is easy
Maeve is a 39-year-old mother of three young children who at Christmas 2024 was diagnosed with advanced, inoperable thymoma cancer, and was given less than two years to live. Despite limited success with NHS treatment, she courageously continued private treatment in London at a significant cost. With incredible strength and positivity, Maeve is determined to spend as much time as possible with her young family. Support would help her continue treatment and create many lasting memories with her children.

Please help me raise the vital funds needed to allow Maeve to continue with her treatment

Reynalds Cross School
Reynalds Cross School in Olton supports 148 pupils with special educational needs. The school is fundraising to refurbish its sensory room, a vital space that supports learning, development, and emotional wellbeing.

Birmingham Children’s Hospital – Cystic Fibrosis Unit as many of you may know my grandson is living with Cystic Fibrosis and this is a charity especially close to our hearts.
The Cystic Fibrosis Unit supports children with this lifelong condition through specialist care, equipment, research, and family support. Funding helps improve treatment and quality of life for patients and families.

UHCW – Teen Mental Health Support
UHCW is developing low-stimulation crisis rooms and a sensory space for young people in mental health crisis, helping create calmer environments that support recovery and de-escalation.

Enterprise Sailing
Enterprise Sailing gives young people from disadvantaged communities the chance to build confidence and life skills through sailing experiences on the Norfolk Broads, guided by volunteer skippers.
I am asking for your support again, every donation reaches these worthy charities. I want to help give Maeve as much support as we can and help all of the charities continue to do all of their incredible work
We are raising money for some great worthwhile local causes.

I would really appreciate it if you could support me and these very worthwhile charities.
