My story
This year, I’ve decided to lace up my running shoes and take on the Brighton Half Marathon, not just for the challenge, but for a cause close to my heart — supporting the Lord’s Taverners.
You might know them as a cricket charity, but what they really do is so much more than sport. Lord’s Taverners gives young people living with disabilities and from disadvantaged communities the chance to thrive through sport and recreation. They use the power of inclusive activity to build confidence, create opportunities, and foster lifelong skills.
Their programmes — from table cricket to sports wheelchairs, and community cricket hubs — are changing lives across the UK. They don’t just provide equipment or coaching; they open doors to belonging, to friendship, and to a future many of these young people have been told isn't possible.
