Walking out of Darkness

On Saturday 6th May I will be joining hundreds of others in walking 10 miles on a course through Birmingham in unity for those suffering from mental illness issues and those who have lost loved ones by suicide. The event aims to increase mental health awareness and suicide prevention amongst local communities bringing an end to stigma and discrimination. I will also be raising spondoolys for Springfield Mind which has a local branch in Stratford upon Avon.

The issues and information around mental health are opening up and with the recent publicity from the Princes the World feels more compassionate. This challenge is for me to focus on something positive and acheive a goal whilst helping the charity. Marathon next year maybe???
