Cavan 222 Triathlon
Event date:
John Reilly is raising money for Hope 4 ME & Fibro Northern Ireland
My story
My name is John Reilly from Cavan and my triathlon coach was James Walton, who helped me achieve my goals. James now suffers from Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS).
To show my appreciation to James I am going to do a triathlon called ‘Cavan222’ It’s a 2km swim, 200 km bike and 20 km run!
I want to raise awareness about M.E. because I thought it was just somebody being ‘tired’ and I was shocked to learn of the severity of this disease and the devastation it can cause to sufferers and their families. There is no effective treatment or cure and the most severely affected patients can remain bed-bound for decades
I would like to try and raise some funds for the charity Hope 4 M.E & Fibro N.I. who provide education events for healthcare providers, support sufferers, campaigning for specialist M.E. services and invest in biomedical research when able.
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Hope 4 ME & Fibro Northern Ireland.

Thanks to The Anglo Celt for highlighting this event and sharing great awareness!

Dear Supporters
Due to a trapped nerve in back I’ve had to move the date of the Cavan222 Triathlon from 6th July, to 13th July.
Thankfully I’ve now received treatment and recovering well!
