Charity Dragon Boat Race 2026

On Sunday 17th May 2026 Phoenix Netball Club will be returning to the water and competing in the Annual Dragon Boat Race hosted by the Wolverhampton Rotary Club, at Himley Hall and Park, Dudley DY3 4DF.

We have chosen to support ALZ CAFE who are a local, independent run service.

The Wolverhampton Alz Cafe operates out of the Penn United Reformed Church and is a meeting place for people with dementia or memory loss, their families and friends.
Alz Cafe is run by some amazing volunteers who always aim to provide a safe, welcoming environment for people with dementia and their family, friends and carers in the company of other carers, volunteers and health and social care professionals.
Alz cafe offers emotional support, information and the opportunity for people living with the impact of    dementia to network with others in the same situation. There is live music and the opportunity to dance. There is also a buffet or hot food provided - all free of charge. No referral necessary - everyone is welcome.

This year Alz Café celebrate their 20th anniversary, which is an amazing achievement. 
The group can only continue to offer this service through the receipt of generous donations.

Monies raised at this event  will be equally split between Alz Café, and the Rotary's Charitable Trust, for distribution to various other charities.
