Hi I'm Chris

On Sunday 14th May, I will be running the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon which I decided to enter in April last year.

At the time when I signed up, I thought I've got 13 months to train for it, things will be fine. However, as I get further into training and closer to the big day. I’ve come to realise this will be one of the hardest things I will ever do but knowing it will be one of the most rewarding at the same time by hopefully raising what I hope to raise for different charities.

When deciding what charity to raise money for, I couldn't decide on one charity, so I decided to raise money for charities which are close to me for different reasons.

The charities I am raising funds are:

Alzheimer’s Society
Pancreatic Cancer UK

Two Leeds Hospital Charities Appeal’s:

Leeds Children's Hospitals Capital Appeal
Rob Burrow Centre for MND Appeal

The initial aim is to raise a total of £1000 which equals to £250 for each charity/appeal, with the hope to increase the total target. 25% will go to the Alzheimer's Society and Pancreatic Cancer UK and 50% will go to the Leeds Hospitals Charity where the money will be split between the two appeals.
