My story

In July - from the 5th - 12th, I am climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and I’ve decided to try and raise some money for the charity Up – The Adult Cerebral Palsy Movement. As most of you know, my older brother James has cerebral palsy. He is the most amazing, gorgeous, funny, kind, chatty (sometimes too much), sweet, lovable person. He genuinely makes such an impact on everyone he meets. I know if he could, he would be doing this crazy adventure with me, so instead I’m going to try and do it for both of us! The charity only started in 2018, however it’s growing in the Cerebral Palsy community, making change in Parliament and getting the voice of the CP community heard. I would love to try and raise as much as I can to even give a little bit of support to this charity. Cerebral Palsy affects 130,000 adults in the UK. It presents in childhood, and at that stage, is rightly given appropriate care. Then at 18, you are no longer under paediatric services, and the support structure disappears and Cerebral Palsy is a lifelong condition!
