Maureen France is raising money for Chris Westwood Charity For Children With Physical Disabilities
The Chris Westwood Charity provides financial help in funding the purchase of mobility equipment for physically disabled children and young people living within a 50 mile radius of Stourbridge in the West Midlands, when there are no other sources of funding available. The Charity operates with ZERO ADMINISTRATION COSTS (unique these days) so that every penny raised goes where the donors intended.
I wanted to raise money for this well deserved charity as they have funded equipment for my 7 year granddaughter Caitlin who has Prader-Willi Syndrome.
I was looking for a way to give something back to them as I think they are very special in that EVERY penny donated is used to help many children. Details of all the funding they make can be found on their website. Please take a look as it's inspiring what they do.
I had prostate cancer surgery this January and I'd taken up walking to get fit, so I decided I'd do a sponsored canal walk to raise funds for the charity.
My sister Elaine Whitney wanted to walk with me and so a 20k walk has been planned along the Shropshire Union canal on Sunday 28th August.
Training began and unfortunately I have injured my foot and, at present a long walk is out of the question. However, my son Neil France has stepped into the breach and will take my place with his aunt and I will walk as much as I can.
The walk will finish at the Bridge Pub in Brewood, Staffs for a welcome home drink on Sunday 28th August in the afternoon and so we'd love as many people as possible to come along and make a difference to this fantastic charity.
Please take a moment to support us and help us raise as much as possible for The Chris Westwood Charity by making a donation through this page..
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Chris Westwood Charity For Children With Physical Disabilities.
