Colin Knowles Hirsute No More

This is my personal effort to support two good causes.

The first is Alopecia UK (alopeciaonline.org.uk). This Trust helps people - mostly women - who suffer from this distressing hair loss condition. You can see from the photo that my hair is now long enough to go towards a wig!

The second is raise money to build a mountain hut near Beddgelert in Snowdonia. Mountain huts provide low-cost accommodation for those wanting to go to the hills. My mountaineering club, Red Rope, is the junior partner of the Lancashire Mountaineering Club, who are spearheading this effort. When this hut is built it will fill a major gap in the network of mountain huts in Snowdonia.

So, if you donate some money, I will have all my hair and my beard cut off. The hair will go to the Trust, I will look completely different and I will send you a picture of the new look Colin.
