Colour Up Bristol is raising money for Hand In Hand For Syria, Disasters Emergency Committee (General Appeals) and Syrian American Medical Society Foundation United Kingdom
Hello friends,
In light of the recent Turkey-Syria earthquake, the Colour Up Bristol community is fundraising for three great organisations doing valuable work to support those affected: Hand In Hand For Syria, Disasters Emergency Committee (General Appeals)and Syrian American Medical Society Foundation United Kingdom. It is paramount that the funds raised go to those we intend to help therefore we have researched the organisations we are raising for. Please click on their separate links below to see more.
As a community, we aim to raise £500 per charity for covering 500 miles by walking/running/cycling/swimming/(climbing...?) over a 3 week period. Check out our Strava page to keep track of our miles strava.com/clubs/1117002
To keep you updated, we will share our progress (pain, sweat and tears) on this page and on our socials so watch this space!
All donations are welcome however we understand that monies are tight in the current economic climate. Hyped to announce that we have reached our 500 mile target (507 to be precise!) over 3 weeks. The C.U. team put in a solid effort last week and we had some good mileage on our final day today from our speedy in-house cyclists. Thanks so much for all the donations so far, very much appreciated. Not far off our fundraising target now..!
We are into our third week with about a third of the way to go! Despite the snow and hail (spring where you at?) our members have been plugging away on foot, on two wheels and even dusted off some rollerskates. Thanks so much to everyone who has donated!
