Commitment for Life/URC GAZA APPEAL

Commitment for Life is devastated by the violence in Gaza affecting our friends and partners in the region. The scale of destruction and loss of life is unprecedented in recent conflicts. There is no justification for such widespread, indiscriminate killing. We are gravely concerned for the entire population in the Gaza Strip.

William Bell, Christian Aid's head of Middle East Policy and Advocacy, tells us that in Gaza, "nobody is safe, but still our partners are doing extraordinary work in the most extreme conditions."

Commitment for Life is supporting our Christian Aid partner, the Culture and Free Thought Association (CFTA) and others like the Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committee (PARC) to deliver vital support and aid, who are finding innovative ways of addressing basic needs using local, existing mechanisms. These include provision of food and water distribution for hygiene. Our partners also work with local farmers who are risking their lives to tend their crops and distribute vegetables to their communities.
