Craig Thompson & Serios Group is raising money for St Oswald's Hospice and Eagles Community Foundation
It’s been a while since I set out on a fundraising adventure, but 2023 & 2024 promise to be full of challenges with plenty of money and awareness to be raised for two great local charities. I have also convinced a number of colleagues at Seriös Group to get involved with the fundraising activities.
I ran my 16th my Great North Run in 2023 in the usual crazy fancy dress! Marcus, Emma-Leigh and Miikael also joined me in this event
July 2024, Yorkshire Tough Mudder, is a gruelling course of 10+ miles and over 20 obstacles. Myself, Emma-Leigh, Miikael, Steve Wise, Steven Wilde, James, Matej, Connor, Callum, Dion, Oliver, Dan and Gina from Seriös are all taking part along with Chris Scott from the Eagles Community Foundation.
I ran my first London marathon in April, this was really tough 😅
Seriös Group held a Corporate 3x3 Basketball event on 28th June - This was great fun for all 18 teams that took part
There will no doubt be a number of other events between now and the end of 2024.
The Charites we will be raising funds for are:
St Oswald’s Hospice, who are a charitable hospice rooted in the North East.
The hospice provides outstanding, specialist and expert care to adults and children with life-limiting conditions, and for their families too.
St Oswald’s Hospice is a place where people matter. A place that focuses both on living and dying well. It is a home-from-home, filled with honesty, camaraderie and hope that offers quality time for everyone.
Visit stoswaldsuk.org for more information.
The second charity we will be supporting is the Eagles Community Foundation. The main aim of the foundation is to grow levels of sustainable basketball participation in Tyneside, Wearside and South East Northumberland and also to get as many children as possible playing basketball across the North East to stay healthy, keep active, have fun, make friends and develop as young people. newcastle-eagles.com/community/
