Katy is raising money for TDAS at the Manchester Half marathon

Katy Ashworth is taking part in the Manchester Half Marathon on the 12 October 25 for TDAS. 

Trafford Domestic Abuse Services (TDAS) is a charity dedicated to providing safety and support to victims and survivors of domestic abuse. 

They offer accommodation in refuges and properties across Trafford, and in 2023 they opened the first ever male refuge in Greater Manchester. 

Each bed space costs TDAS over £44,000 per year. This includes the accommodation and the vital support offered by staff.  With a total of 37 bed spaces available, they need to raise significant funds to, quite literally, keep their refuge doors open!  

Aside from the refuges and moving on properties, TDAS also offer a range of other services including support for victims still in a relationship with their perpetrator, Children and Young People support, preventative work and professionals training.
