Spring Wolf Run

Despite being overweight, totally lacking any real fitness and only having 40 days to train, I've (foolishly!) signed up to the Warwickshire Wolf Run on April 12th 2015, seeking to raise funds for ASIRT.

Completion of the Wolf Run entails negotiation of a series of increasingly more pointless, difficult and unpleasant obstacles, including frequently wading waist-deep through freezing cold and polluted water. I'm at a loss to think of a more perfect metaphor for the 'hostile environment' the Home Office is trying to create for ASIRT's service users.

Legal Aid cuts have made access to justice ever more difficult to come by, while the Home Office is ever more routinely refusing people's applications to remain in the UK, entirely without reference to relevant caselaw, and effectively "illegalising" people - frequently families with young children- who have strong legal cases to remain.

Your support will help to improve people's lives, to challenge abuses of power, and to see that justice is done.

You can also, obviously, laugh at me, Dave and Keith as we stumble our way around the 10km course.
