Cycle for Uganda

A few years ago I cycled from Abergele back to Slough alone on my old Raliegh 3 gear bike this year I am aiming to cycle South from Slough to Littlehampton and then South West as far as Tavistock and return for there via Taunton, Trowbridge to Slough over about 12 days. Why? Because I have had the opportunity to work with Teams in Layibi in Northern Uganda over the past 6 years and am inspired by the people I have met there who are making something of their lives after 20 years of waring in their region during which times families were destroyed, children were used as child soldiers and people were displaced. Now with some degree of stability things are changing. Teams has been active in this small community, establishing training opportunities in health and income generation, literacy, sponsorship of children for schooling and Christian education in prisons and through a network of Churches. With the funds I hope to raise this work can be continued and developed.
