Event date: 9th June 2013
Hayley Barbet is raising money for Greek Animal Rescue (UK)
Come and join us on Sunday 9th June for the Greek Animal Rescue 22nd annual sponsored dog walk.
We will be meeting at 11:30am at Trent Country Park in Cockfosters. The walk, through beautiful meadows and ancient woods is most enjoyable and takes about an hour and half to complete and is followed with refreshments and snacks and treats for our 4-legged participants.
Our dog walk is a joyous get-together of GAR supporters and their adopted "Greekies" (and a few of their English cousins). Every year the number of participants grows. The walk, through the fields and woods, is most enjoyable and takes about an hour and half to complete and is followed with refreshments and snacks and treats for our 4-legged participants.
Apart from the fun of meeting and greeting old and new 2 legged and 4-legged friends, this event is a reminder that there are countless animals in Greece who are born and die without ever knowing the joys of having a warm home, to be loved and cared for and never be fearful.
The money raised through sponsorship goes towards helping other, less fortunate animals in Greece. Even if you are unable to attend on the day please consider making a donation.
