My story
We've watched in awe at the heroics of all the walkers in the first 2 March of the Days and thought it was about time we did our bit. Marie and I have therefore entered for stages 39 & 40 (8.71 miles) on Wednesday 3rd June when the walk passes our home town of Bury and heads to Salford and beyond.
This year's March of the Day runs from Monday 1st June to Saturday 6th June and sees football and rugby fans supporting the MND community on a 340 mile walk from Anfield in Liverpool to the Rob Burrow Centre in Leeds, calling at a plethora of the football and rugby league grounds on the way. The walk is looking to raise £200k for the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation and the Leeds Hospitals Charity that supports the Rob Burrow Centre so as to help fund continued research into a cure for MND. The great Doddie Weir once said that "MND isn't incurable, it's just underfunded!".
If you could look to support us and donate any sum at all it would be very much appreciated and would help us make a small but important contribution to this very worthwhile cause. Many thanks. Rob and Marie.
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Leeds Hospitals Charity and The Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.
