My story
Hello. I am raising money for Rainbow Migration and need your help.
This amazing charity is the only UK organisation providing a combination of emotional, practical and legal support to LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum . This is a daunting, stressful and worrying time for many vulnerable people. Rainbow Migration provides legal advice and practical guidance, how to prepare for an asylum interview, travelling to court to provide evidence, facilitating support groups.
Following my knee replacement surgery, My fitness challenge is to complete the events and distance of an olympic 'Triathlon' in the time to London Pride 2026. Over a series of individual gym sessions to 4 July, I will be swimming 1500m, biking 40km and walking (in place of running) 10km. For this very worthwhile cause. It will be wonderful if you can help by donating whatever you can.
You can help by donating:
- £15 could pay for an emotional support call to help someone in immigration detention feel listened to.
- £25 could pay for a translator so that no matter where someone is from.
- £50 could pay for someone to receive advice on housing and health services to ensure they can access the services they’re entitled to.
Achieving the target of £1,080 could pay for all members of a support group to attend regular group sessions for a year.
Please give what you can to help me to help Rainbow Migration.
Thank you!
