My story

I'm a campaigner, so even when I'm fundraising, I still have a message I'd like to share with you!

Millions of children do not receive the education they deserve. This might be because there is no school they can attend, but for many, schools do exist and there are other factors that prevent children from learning. One factor is the distance children often have to walk to get to school. This means when they get to school they are exhausted and unable to concentrate. Further, once they've walked for hours home they are unable to do their homework as it is already dark and they don't have electricity to see. Not to mention the fact they've probably not had enough to eat or resources they need to make the most of any education they receive.

From 4th-8th August, I'm going to put myself in the footsteps of millions of children who have to walk miles to and from school every day. I'll be walking the 7 miles from Paisley to Glasgow to and from work.

I'll be tired and probably not be able to concentrate at work but this is exactly the conditions millions of children have to face every day just to go to school.

Can you spare a pound or two to help RESULTS create the change required to help millions more children receive an education?
