My story
I have been a volunteer for 10 years at Remus Memorial Horse Sanctuary, which provides lifetime help and care for horses, ponies, donkeys, goats, sheep and cats, that are victims of physical and mental abuse, be it as a result of ignorance or malicious intent.
Remus Memorial Horse Sanctuary is funded totally by public donations and their own fundraising and event activities, so for my 10 year anniversary I have decided to do my first ever Triathlon at the grand age of ... well if you know, you know!
The Southend Triathlon takes place on 14th July, and I have been in serious training since April. The sea is now warm enough to do long swims without getting brain freeze!
The weather has not been kind this year, and Remus have already had to cancel one Open Day (only six can be held each year), and they are the main source of income, so I am hoping to raise as much money as possible to help fill the deficit. Times are tough, the smallest amount helps, but even sharing this page helps.
Thank you so much, and I will be sharing my training updates over the next 4 weeks!
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Remus Memorial Horse Sanctuary.
