Giving Up What We Can

This November Giving What We Can: Glasgow will be fundraising for Schistosomiasis Control Initiative, which tackles neglected tropical diseases by providing treatment. 700 milion people are at risk of suffering from these diseases, and the majority of those affected.

Those of us taking part in the fundraiser are Renvall Rasmus, Emi Riiko, Matus Mikus, Victor Lovic, Isabel Lwin, Katerina Manoli and Irene Tortajada.

The fundraiser consists in giving up something we usually spend some money on but we don't really need, such as having coffee or food out, alcohol, chocolate, etc. and give the money we have saved at the end of the month to SCI. We will also be taking donations from anyone who wants to support our campaign. Please give generously; we really appreciate your help! I we manage to get to our target and at 0.50 pounds per treatment, SCI will be able to treat 2000 children against neglected tropical diseases!
