Mental Health Awareness

Beacon Counselling is a mental health charity that operates to build resilience in adults, young people and children experiencing poor mental health and empower them with the tools and skills they need to recover and thrive now and in the future. They deliver a range of therapy, group support and well-being services with specialist support for the most vulnerable groups in our community.

In 2021, Beacon’s team of counsellors helped 2056 individuals to lead fuller and more rewarding lives through the provision of 13,041 appointments at our main premises, and via remote delivery.

As a charity donations are the main way in which Beacon's services are funded - £25 helps pay for an hour of counselling in our free counselling service, £60 pays for a months clinical supervision for one of our volunteer counsellors.
