Edith Kreutner is raising money for Avon and Somerset Search and Rescue
The German Department walks the extra Mile
Event date: 18th May 2013
My story
More than a hundred miles, to be fair!
On the 18th of May, Mark Allinson, Hannah Blackman, Christophe Fricker, Anna Havinga, Edith Kreutner, Jonas Langner, Debbie Pinfold, Ruth Winter and friends will tackle the Big Black Mountains Challenge in the Black Mountains of Wales.
43km, 29km and 16 km need to be run/hiked/climbed/crawled/rambled/scrambled and all for charity!
Please support our effort with a donation!
The funds raised go to Mountain Rescue, unpaid volunteers that are on call 24/7 to help in floods, when loved ones get lost, are hurt or stuck on a cliff.
Many associate Mountain Rescue with only the Lake District or the Scottish Highlands, but besides being called to help those who become ill or injured in the moorlands and mountains, teams are frequently tasked to assist the police in the search of semi-urban areas for missing persons: the young, the old, the vulnerable.
