My first half marathon!

My mum Theresa Rodgers discovered this charity when she was holidaying in Cornwall, where this charity is based. I think it struck a cord with mum as she was unwell with oesophageal cancer at the time and has always been an animal lover and had pet cats and dogs.

The Cinnamon Trust is the only specialist national charity which seeks to relieve the anxieties, problems, and sometimes injustices, faced by elderly and terminally ill people and their pets, thereby saving a great deal of human sadness and animal suffering. A national network of over 17,000 community service volunteers has been established to provide practical help - for example, walking the dog for a housebound owner, fostering pets, or providing long term care for pets whose owners have died or moved to residential accommodation which will not accept pets. Arrangements are made between owners and the Trust well in advance, so owners do have peace of mind in the knowledge that their beloved companion will have a safe and happy future.

I'm really happy to support this lovely charity and hope to volunteer with them in the near future by dog walking and maybe adopting a pet if the situation is right. Thank you for reading this and if you are able to donate, thank you very much for your generosity.
