Hill & Smith Infrastructure Ltd - Charity Dragon Boat Race 2025

This year, Hill & Smith Infrastructure Ltd is thrilled to participate in the Annual Dragon Boat Race at Himley Hall and Park (DY3 4DF) on Sunday, 18 May 2025.​

This spirited event brings together local businesses, charities, and community groups to raise funds for worthy causes. As we recently celebrated our 200th anniversary—a milestone made possible by the dedication of our employees past and present—we're excited to embark on this new team challenge.​

While it's our first time paddling in such an event, our team's camaraderie and enthusiasm are sure to make waves. We're aiming to raise significant funds for our chosen charities:​

* Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity

A leading paediatric centre, Birmingham Children’s Hospital provides expert care to over 90,000 children and young people annually. The charity focuses on enhancing patient experiences, advancing medical research, and improving facilities to ensure the best possible outcomes for young patients and their families. ​

* Compton Care

Based in Wolverhampton, Compton Care offers specialist palliative and bereavement support to individuals with life-limiting conditions. Their holistic approach ensures patients, and their families receive compassionate care tailored to their unique needs, whether at home or in their state-of-the-art facilities. ​

All funds raised through our Give as you Live page will be directed to the Rotary Club's charitable trust account. From there, 50% will support the Rotary Club's initiatives, and the remaining 50% will be equally divided between Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity and Compton Care.​
