Hugh Willmott is raising money for Pearl of Africa Child Care Ltd
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
I am raising money for a UK charity dedicated primarily to providing education and relievingf poverty in Uganda. It contributes to a programme of building homes and schools for orphaned and destitute children in Kampala and Masaka districts. There are now 7 schools with over 2600 pupils. You can find out more about GR300 and the charity at
In defiance and disbelief of my 60th birthcay, I plan to cycle 300 kilometres in four days in Cornwall in November.
I will have some fit gig rowers to push and pull me along. You can get some idea of the event by looking at the pics from last year's ride (see url above - in which I had the sense of youth not to participate).
Day 1: Launceston to Gollant 55 miles. (4.5 hrs at 12mph av)
Day 2: Gallant to Penzance 57 miles (4.5 hrs at 12mph av)
Day 3: Penzance to Padstow 70 (6 hrs at 12mph av)
Day 4: Padstow to Launcestton 48 miles (4 hrs at 12mph av)
Total: 232 Miles in 4 Days (373 k)
Please help me to support this cause by giving generously.
Thank you so much for your support, your donation is truly appreciated.
Hugh
P.S. When you make a donation, don't forget to check the Gift Aid box if you're a UK taxpayer as then your charity can claim an extra 28% from the government!
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Pearl of Africa Child Care Ltd.
