Emily Hirst is raising money for The Daniel Estick Trust
On 6th April, I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in memory of Daniel Estick, a young boy whose life was tragically cut short in March 2009 due to septicaemia, when he was just 23 months old. Since getting to know Daniel's family personally, I have felt a deep connection to their story and the incredible work they have done to honour his memory.
I will be raising money for The Daniel Estick Trust, a charity founded in his memory. The trust provides handmade memory boxes to bereavement charities, organisations, and health professionals across the UK who support families navigating the unimaginable pain of losing a child. Having seen firsthand the positive impact this charity has and knowing how much it means to Daniel’s family, I feel privileged to contribute to their mission, and this is my way of honouring Daniel’s memory.
