ICL TPT 2013 Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity

Event date: 11th May 2013

Interserve Construction Limited is raising money for The Children's Hospital Charity

My story

Interserve Construction, looking for ways to benefit the local charities (as well as get out in the fresh air and get fit) have found a suitable challenge which also links with one of our targets on the West Yorkshire Police projects:- namely that we are aiming to achieve 85% of our procurement from within a 50 mile radius circle from the construction sites.

There is a national cycle route / trail that very neatly as good as crosses the diameter of this circle:- The Trans Pennine trail

The Trans Pennine Trail is a multi-user route across the North of England from Southport to Hornsea, with north - south route from Leeds to Chesterfield, plus a spur to York.

The plan :- To cycle from Liverpool to Hornsea over 3 days in May 2013 - a total of 185 miles

Leg 1 [Aintree to Hadfield {west side of Pennines} 65 miles]
Leg 2 [Hadfield to Selby 65 miles]
Leg 3 [Selby to Hornsea 55 miles]

Distribution of funds:
