Ironman Wales 2024

Hi everyone!

I’ve been training for over a year now to take part in Ironman Wales 2024, for those who don’t know this is a triathlon event which consists of a 3.8km swim, 180km cycle, and finishes with a 42km run. It’ll be a tough day which will take around 13-15 hours to complete. However, I’m not doing this because I’m a complete masochist, I’m doing it to raise awareness and support for Debra.

Debra, known as the Butterfly Skin Charity, is a charity that supports people with EB which is a rare skin disorder that Joshua, my nephew, has that causes fragile skin that blisters easily. The skin can be injured by friction, heat, or bumps, resulting in painful blisters and wounds that heal slowly. There is no cure for EB, but researchers are working on treatments and cures.
